Yes. A whole-house Generac standby generator connects into your switchboard and the electricity network through an automatic transfer switch, so it must be installed by a licensed Level 2 ASP. High Demand Electrical is an accredited Generac dealer and Level 2 ASP, so we handle supply, installation, grid connection and commissioning end to end.
An automatic transfer switch (ATS) detects the outage, safely isolates your home from the grid and starts your Generac within seconds. When mains power returns it switches back and shuts the generator down automatically — no manual switching and no risk of backfeed to the network.
It depends on whether you want to run essential circuits or the whole home, including ducted air-conditioning. We carry out a free on-site load assessment and recommend the right Generac Guardian model — from 10kW up to 26kW air-cooled — so your system is never over- or under-sized.
